Elections on 2 May

Elections for the next Mayor of London and London Assembly members, as well as the by-election for Hillrise ward, will take place on Thursday 2 May.

You must now show photo ID when you vote at polling stations. See a full list of accepted forms of ID. You can also apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate in place of photo ID. The deadline to apply for this is 5pm, Wednesday 24 April.

How to use, register for and buy visitor e-vouchers, a more convenient way of letting your visitors park in Islington

Using visitor e-vouchers

Visitor e-vouchers are more convenient and a lower price than paper visitor vouchers for some vehicles.

Where you can park with visitor e-vouchers

Vehicles with a visitor e-voucher can park:

  • in any resident permit holder bay or any resident shared-use bay
  • for the amount of time and within the zone it is valid for. You can check your parking zone by typing your postcode into our 'your local area' search.

Using visitor vouchers during additional match day controls

You cannot use paper visitor vouchers for additional match day control hours, you can only use e-vouchers during these hours. Find out more about restrictions on the Emirates Parking page.

Additional match day controls are put in place for all men’s and women’s football games that sell more than - or are expected to sell more than - 10,000 tickets, and any event that sells more than - or is expected to sell more than - 10,000 tickets.

Where you cannot use visitor e-vouchers

RingGo visitor e-vouchers cannot be used in private parking areas or on any housing estates. Estate tenants can buy e-vouchers for their visitors to park in on street resident parking bays in their zone. Read more about parking on housing estates.

Zone C residents who need parking for visitors

You must book visitor vouchers for the free parking sessions on:

  • Monday to Friday, 6.30pm to 8.30am
  • Saturdays, midnight to 8.30am and 1.30pm to midnight
  • Sundays, midnight to 6am.

Vouchers are free but you still need to book them.

There are no parking restrictions on Sunday between 6am and 11.59pm so there is no need to book a free session between these times.

Zone K residents who need parking for visitors

You must book visitor vouchers for the free parking sessions on:

  • Monday to Friday, 6.30pm to 8.30am
  • Saturday all day
  • Sunday all day.

Vouchers are free but you still need to book them.
