Are you able to host a 10-week Post Production internship - with 50% wage funding? 

Post Production Futures is a new programme from LIFT and Capital City College's Creative Skills Hub, for talented creatives who are ready to take their next steps into work and the world of Post Production. The programme will include a 4-week, full-time training course to help enhance skills required for a Runner or Production Assistant role, followed by access to 10-week paid (London Living Wage) internships with local employers. 

The programme has been developed to provide practical work experience and skills training supported by industry professionals, where participantswill learn core industry skills to get started in your career. After completing the training programme participants will gain access to interviews for a number of internships within local businesses.  

The programme will provide mentoring and support throughout the course and into the internship journey for those who are successful in gaining a 10-week industry placement. 

March-April 2025:
Intensive four-week full-time course to prepare people for an entry-level role in Post Production (Customer service, organising, scheduling, intro to editing and grading suites), working to industry standard briefs and to build employability and soft skills.   

May – July 2025: 10-week paid internships with production houses. 

Interns will complete a 4-week intensive course followed by a full-time internship role with an employer. Additionally, they will spend one day each week on additional training, development and networking activities with Capital City College. 

We are looking for partner employers to: 

  • Host an intern for the duration of the 10-week placement (4 days/week).   
  • 50% funding is available for intern salaries whilst they are with you at London Living Wage (£13.85/hr) for SMEs. 
  • Consider intern for a permanent role post-internship 
  • Provide a supportive environment and dedicated manager 
  • Uphold a commitment to diversity practices 
  • Offer real project opportunities for intern's skill development
  • Reference for intern post-placement 

 LIFT and Capital City College will: 

  • Provide relevant training prior to, and during, internship placements 
  • Support with recruitment of interns (advertising, collecting applications, and help with shortlisting and interviews if needed)
  • Provide additional pastoral support to interns while on placement
