Easter service changes

During the Easter period, some of our services will be operating slightly different hours. Our council’s bin collection schedule will change for one week starting on Friday 29 March to make sure everyone’s waste is picked up around the bank holiday.

See the full schedule and your amended rubbish and recycling collection dates and other service changes including parking and library opening times over the Easter period.

Resident roamer scheme

The resident roamer scheme allows Islington permit holders to park in any residents' permit area between 11am and 3pm

The resident roamer scheme is for Islington resident parking permit holders only.

Resident roamer lets you park:

  • in resident bays
  • in any Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) in the borough
  • between 11am and 3pm, Monday to Friday.

View our Controlled Parking Zone map to see where these areas are.

The resident roamer scheme does not provide any exemption from moving traffic (driving) restrictions. For example, if you intend to park within a Low Traffic Neighbourhood (LTN) zone you will need to use a permitted driving route to enter and exit the LTN.

Hours of operation

You can only use this benefit between 11am and 3pm. At all other times, permit holders can only park within their local CPZ.

Estate parking permits do not come with the resident roamer benefit. You must buy a resident parking permit to use the resident roamer scheme.

Resident roamer in the match day zone

On match days the resident roamer is not valid in certain controlled parking zones at certain times. View a match day sign for details.
