Elections on 2 May

Elections for the next Mayor of London and London Assembly members, as well as the by-election for Hillrise ward, will take place on Thursday 2 May.

You must now show photo ID when you vote at polling stations. See a full list of accepted forms of ID. You can also apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate in place of photo ID. The deadline to apply for this is 5pm, Wednesday 24 April.

Cancel a parking permit

If you are moving to a new address or moving your business to new premises in Islington moving out of the borough, cancel your permit in your parking account and apply for a new one.

You can only cancel a permit online if you have purchased or renewed your permit since 1 February 2023.

Cancel your parking permit

If you purchased your permit before 1 February 2023 using My eAccount and want to cancel the permit, please email: ParkingPermits@islington.gov.uk. We confirm your cancellation and give you any refund as soon as possible.

When you don't need to cancel

You don't need to cancel if you:

  • move house or business to a different address in the same controlled parking zone (CPZ) you are in now - you can update the address in your parking account
  • are changing your vehicle - find out how to update your permit.

Refunds and admin fees

Refunds can take up to 28 days to process after we have replied to your request. We will take an admin fee of £31.10 for all refunds except for a change of vehicle.

You will receive a refund for any full months left on a permit you don't need anymore.
