Easter service changes

During the Easter period, some of our services will be operating slightly different hours. Our council’s bin collection schedule will change for one week starting on Friday 29 March to make sure everyone’s waste is picked up around the bank holiday.

See the full schedule and your amended rubbish and recycling collection dates and other service changes including parking and library opening times over the Easter period.

Ways to pay

Direct Debit is the easiest way to pay. It is safe, secure and you can spread your payments and pay on a day that suits you. Plus, if you pay by Direct Debit you will be automatically entered into our local prize draws where you could win up to £3,000. If you decide not to pay by Direct Debit please make sure you pay your council tax a few days before each due date to avoid reminders.

By phone banking/online banking

To pay your bill using your own bank's telephone or online service, quote our bank account number 43021068 and sort code 20-00-00, together with your eight-digit council tax account number.

By phone

You can make credit and debit card payments by phone. Simply call our 24 hour automated service on 020 7527 8000. When you call please have your council tax account number and bank card to hand.

In post offices or shops

You can pay by cash, cheque or debit card in any Post Office or shop that displays the Paypoint or Payzone symbols.

The barcode on your council tax bill can be used to make a payment. Just hand it to the counter assistant with your payment to obtain a receipt.
