The Council has been working with providers of day services that have needed to temporarily close to determine where an alternative offer can be made available to residents and how else they can remain sustainable. | £174,820 5% hardship grant for April and May for all spot-purchased bed-based care across North Central London boroughs. Paying on planned hours for domiciliary care packages. Any providers still facing financial hardship above and beyond this should approach the Council directly. Individual discussions with block-commissioned services around the pressures faced as a result of Covid-19. £633,882 This equates to 75% of Islington’s allocation of the Adult Social Care Infection Control Fund. It will be passed straight to care homes on a ‘per beds’ basis in two instalments. The funding is contingent on the provider completing the NHS Capacity Tracker; keeping records of how the money is spent to support infection control, in line with the national guidance. Any unspent funds will be recouped as per government guidance. £211,294 This equates to 25% of Islington’s allocation of the Adult Social Care Infection Control Fund. According to need, it will be used to support infection control measures across the wider adult social care market. |
