Our ICT policies

Technology has become part of everyone's daily working life and is continually changing the way we interact and store important information. Keeping information securely, therefore, is vital for public confidence and the efficient conduct of business.

To maintain the highest standards of information security, the council has developed a number of policies to protect its information technology (IT) assets. The policies have been developed consistently with industry security standards and are under constant review.

Who do the policies apply to?

The policies apply to all councillors, committees, departments, partners, employees of the council, contractual third parties and agents who use Islington Council facilities and equipment, or have access to, or custody of, customer information or Islington Council information.

All the policies can be downloaded from the 'Useful documents' section of the page, below.
