Easter service changes

During the Easter period, some of our services will be operating slightly different hours. Our council’s bin collection schedule will change for one week starting on Friday 29 March to make sure everyone’s waste is picked up around the bank holiday.

See the full schedule and your amended rubbish and recycling collection dates and other service changes including parking and library opening times over the Easter period.

Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman Reports

The Local Government & Social Care Ombudsman (LGSCO) are the final stage for complaints about councils, all adult social care providers (including care homes and home care agencies) and some other organisations providing local public services.

The service is free; and the LGSCO conducts independent, impartial investigations of complaints about service failure and maladministration. Where they find fault they make recommendations to redress the injustice caused. Furthermore, where there is evidence to support a complaint, they will recommend changes to policy and practice to address wider systemic failures and feedback this learning to improve the local resolution of complaints and service provision.

Maladministration reports

Where the Ombudsman considers there has been some fault in the way an authority has or has not done something, this would be considered maladministration or fault.

Details of any maladministration reports can be found in the Useful documents section below.
